Funeral services for Jesse Joseph Gauthier will be on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie with Fr. Scott Chemino officiating. Burial will be in the Church of the Little Flower Cemetery in Evergreen, LA under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.

Mr. Gauthier, age 94, of Bunkie, passed away in his residence on Saturday, December 22, 2012. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and was a retired barber. He was proceded in death by his wife, Lolita Gauthier. Survivors include two brothers, Ollie Gauthier of Bunkie and M.J. Gauthier of New Orleans and five step-daughters, Merline Thurnquist of Oldsmar, FL, Judy Ducote of Belledeau,Shirley Fields of Boyce, Barbara LaCour of Pineville and Connie Herrin of Baker.

Visitation will be at Melancon Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. and on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 from 8 a.m. until service time.
